Frequently Asked Questions

You have questions. We have answers!

We currently only offer tours in English for our guests. For larger groups that seek a tour in a different language, contact us and let us know. We do have guides available who can lead in other languages but this is arranged on a case by case basis.

No, we do not offer any alcohol on our tours. In certain cases and situations it may be available for purchase however this is at your own discretion and will need to be ordered and paid for directly by the guest(s).

On most tours yes there is quite a bit of walking and you should be prepared for going through busy areas with streets that are uneven at times. There are some steps however if you have mobility issues, please reach out to us in advance. We are more than happy to talk about your specific needs and see how we can make things work for you!

Absolutely! There are certain tours where it may be more difficult with a young child but we have indicated on the specific tour pages which these would be. Moroccans love children – and we do too – so please bring them! If you are looking for an adults-only experience we can accommodate this too. Just let us know in advance and we’re happy to provide you with options.

We do our best to have access available to toilets however they are not available at all stops, If you need to use a toilet, you can alert the guide who will help you find one that is suitable. Do keep in mind options can be limited and if given the chance to stop, you may want to take it.

When you purchase a ticket with us it includes all the relevant fees for your experience. The food, drinks, guide fees, any transportation involved, fees paid to vendors and cultural stops. It also includes the 20% VAT tax payment required by the Moroccan government.

We believe in paying our guides a living wage and don’t want them to depend on tips or commission for their wages. We want 100% of their time and attention focused on giving you the best experience possible. We also make sure you’re getting large servings (remember no nibbles here!) and believe in paying market rates for everything we purchase.

If you do decide to tip your guide at the end of an experience it is always most welcome.

We have spent a lot of time sourcing guides who have the same love of food and ethos of hospitality as we do. We believe it’s important to support Moroccan employees who are licensed in their field of work. We only hire licensed Moroccan guides who have a strong command of the English language and want to do more than lead a group around. At the end of the tour, we want you to know you have a new friend in Morocco!

Generally yes. We have designed our tours to accommodate people who have a variety of food needs. We, as well as our guides, are very familiar with different diets such as vegan, gluten-free, and vegetarian. Not all tours are adaptable but if you let us know, we can give you options in advance.

No. For group tours there is a central meeting location. For private tours pickups can be arranged in advance.

Yes and no. Our tours focus on food however we also know more goes into that than just eating. We want to show you the producer, makers and sources of food culture in Moroccan society. So while you will absolutely be fed, also be prepared to go deeper into understanding Moroccan food ways.
