Cancellation & No Show Policy

Cancellations

We are very aware that life, especially in the travel world, is constantly changing and in flux. Given these changes and the realities of travel today, we have adjusted our policies to try and be as fair and transparent as possible to all parties involved.

Our current situation is as follows;
Because we operate very small group tours it is very important that we have an accurate count ahead of time. When you purchase your ticket we highly recommend you also have travel insurance. If you are worried that you may need to cancel your tour please review this and consider purchasing.

Our current cancellation policy for day tours is as follows;

  • If there are 48 hours between cancellation and your tour a refund or voucher will be issued for day tours.
  • If there are less than 48 hours before your tour, we are unable to issue a refund. We are happy to provide a letter to your insurance with proof of payment for the tour and that you did not participate. 
  • If you are unable to make your tour and are outside the 48 hour window we will be very happy to convert your purchase to a voucher for future use. We truly appreciate when guests do this.
Our cancellation for multi-day tours is as follows;
  • For multi-day tours a non-refundable deposit of 25% is required at the time of booking. The balance of your booking is due a minimum of 30 days before travel. 
  • In addition, if you are booking specialty services or hotel classes where a higher deposit amount is required, we will communicate this to you in advance. This is generally only the case during peak seasons and with certain properties. 
  • If you cancel your trip, we will retain a $500 organizing fee for time but towards organizing your trip. We will attempt to recoup any costs that have been applied towards your trip and return them to you however, this is at the discretion of the hotel and activity providers who we have subcontracted with for the services. When you make your reservation you understand that any cancellations may result in a loss of these fees should you cancel. We HIGHLY encourage you to seek out travel insurance for these reasons.

No Show Policy

 

Our tours start promptly at the time noted on the ticket for both group and private tours. Our guides will wait an additional 10 minutes however after this time they will leave. There are no refunds or re-bookings offered for no-show guests.

This policy is for both public shared tours and private booked tours. Once the start time has been agreed on please respect others on your tour as well as the guides and vendors who are depending on a prompt start.
